FARWIND ENERGY

FARWIND Energy is a French CleanTech company (23 people), founded four years ago to unlock the use of wind energy offshore. In particular, the company is developing rotor sails to reduce the fuel consumption of ships equipped with them, and hence their CO2 emissions. These rotor sails are large, rigid cylinders (typically 20 to 50 m high and 4 to 7m in diameter) which are spinned by an electric motor.
